El Dorado Hills
If your windows are spotting here, the tap is rarely the culprit — El Dorado Hills drinks some of the softest water in the state. It is the sprinklers. A lot of this town irrigates off EID’s recycled system, and that water leaves a mineral film on ground-floor glass that a garden hose only sets harder.
Most of El Dorado Hills went up in the last thirty years, so we are mainly working with big fixed panes and entry glass running eighteen to twenty-two feet at the peak — over landscaping, not flat ground. That is a water-fed pole job. Putting a ladder into someone’s planting beds to reach it is how people end up paying two trades instead of one. Serrano, Blackstone and Promontory are gated, so we sort access before the day rather than sitting at a callbox.
