Our process · the science behind the shine

Three filter stages.
Storefront-grade clean.

Storefront glass is your sign. We don’t use detergents, soaps, or ammonia. Just 0 PPM water that lifts dirt and dries spot-free — even in afternoon sun, even in fog, even on a north-facing wall that never sees the sun.

01
Sediment & carbon pre-filter
Tap water hits the system carrying chlorine, sediment, rust, and organic compounds. The first stage strips them out before they reach the precision membranes downstream. Without this, the rest of the filter clogs in weeks instead of months.
02
Reverse osmosis membrane
Pressurized water is forced through a semi-permeable membrane with pores too small for dissolved minerals to pass through. Calcium, magnesium, sodium, silica — the minerals that etch glass and leave white residue when water dries — are rejected here. Roughly 99% of total dissolved solids are gone after this stage.
03
Deionization (DI) ion-exchange
The final 1% of mineral ions get scrubbed by ion-exchange resin. Hydrogen and hydroxide swap places with calcium, magnesium, and other metal ions. The water leaving this tank reads 0 PPM on a TDS meter — pure H2O.
Why this matters

Hard water doesn’t just look bad — it bonds. Calcium carbonate and silica deposit onto glass, then chemically fuse with the silica in the glass itself. Over years, untreated hard-water spots become permanent etching that nothing short of professional polish can remove. 0 PPM water leaves nothing behind to bond with. No spots, no streaks, no etching, no detergent residue — even when the water dries on its own in summer sun. Most window cleaners use a hose and a squeegee. We use a filter rig that costs more than a used car.

How we clean

Pure water,
zero residue.

Most window cleaners use tap water. Tap water in our area carries 80–500 parts-per-million of dissolved minerals — calcium, magnesium, silica, sodium. When it dries on glass, those minerals stay behind as spots and streaks.

Xero 3-stage filtration

RO + DI tanks strip your tap water down to 0 PPM before it touches your glass. Spot-free, streak-free, no detergent residue.

Why it matters

El Dorado Hills tap = 90–170 PPM. Sacramento = 200–350 PPM. Davis = 350–500 PPM. After my filter? 0 PPM, every job, every glass.

★★★★★

Zach communicated promptly and was glad to do an in-person estimate, whereas three other establishments were only online or reluctant. They took extra time and care with my very dirty windows, inside and out. I can see clearly now.
