A dirty sponge, a drive-through brush, or dish soap drags grit straight across the clear coat and dulls it for good. We wash the opposite way: pre-foam to lift the grit first, two-bucket method, soft microfiber, and proper drying, so the finish gets cleaner without getting marred. The gloss you see afterward is real paint — not a wax hiding the damage.
